MUMBAI – The Microsoft Systems outage on Friday disrupted operations of 11 brokers, five stock exchanges said today in a joint press release. The disruption to systems of these brokers, whose names were not mentioned by the exchanges, "were either resolved during the day, or are being resolved." The joint statement was issued by National Stock Exchange, BSE, Multi Commodity Exchange, National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, and Metropolitan Stock Exchange.
The exchanges said that all of them and their clearing corporations functioned without any impact from the worldwide outage of Microsoft Systems. The trading and clearing activities of all exchanges and clearing corporations did not face "any significant impact" from the outage which caused disruptions across various sectors worldwide. End
