Dalmia Bharat Apr-Jun consol PAT seen rising 3% YoY

MUMBAI – Dalmia Bharat Ltd's consolidated net profit for Apr-Jun is likely to rise nearly 3% on year to 1.34 bln rupees, while net sales may fall over 1% on year to 35.81 bln rupees, according to the average of estimates from 11 brokerage firms. Sequentially, both net profit and sales are seen falling nearly 58% and 17%, respectively. The company is set to announce its Apr-Jun earnings on Friday.
The highest estimate for revenue is 37.03 bln rupees and the lowest is 34.46 bln rupees. The highest and the lowest estimates for net profit are 2.47 bln rupees and 979 mln rupees, respectively. The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation, or EBITDA, is seen at 5.64 bln rupees, as per the average of estimates from nine brokerage firms. The highest EBITDA estimate was 6.68 bln rupees, while the lowest estimate was 4.99 bln rupees.
Motilal Oswal Financial Services sees Dalmia Bharat's Apr-Jun realisation declining 8% on year despite 9% growth in sales volume during the period. The brokerage further noted in its report that the company's depreciation is estimated to decline 15% on year, while operational expenditure could fall up to 6%.
Kotak Institutional Equities said in its report that it expects the company's volume to grow 9% on year during Apr-Jun on the back of a weak base. Brokerage Nomura expects the company's cement realisation to decline 3% sequentially on account of higher exposure to the eastern and southern regions. Today, shares of Dalmia Bharat ended at 1,929.20 rupees on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.23% from its previous close.
