Key oilseed markets closed for Janmashtami

MUMBAI – Most key oilseed markets across the country were closed for Janmashtami on Friday, traders said. The market in Jaipur, Rajasthan, was open on Friday. Mustard prices were steady at INR 8,400-INR 8,425 per 100 kg, according to Marudhar Trading Agency. Mustard arrivals in the market were at 150,000 bags, the agency said.
Oilseed prices are likely to remain broadly unchanged in the short term as demand and supply remain stable, traders said. Market participants said they will assess trading activity and fresh demand once the markets open after the holiday. End
