Adani Ent, France's Dioxycle partner for mfg low-carbon chemicals in India

AHMEDABAD--Adani Enterprises Ltd. Friday announced it was entering into the chemicals sector with a long-term parternership with Dioxycle of France to develop and scale low-carbon chemical production in India, company said in its filing with the stock exchanges.
The initiative will begin with a pilot facility at Adani group's site to produce formic acid using captured carbon dioxide and renewable electricity, which may be scaled up for commercial manufacturing, following successful validation, the filing stated. Formic acid and its derivatives have wide use in industry, agriculture and manufacturing. "We are proud to pilot India's first formic acid production facility powered entirely by renewable electricity and captured carbon. This partnership with Dioxycle is a testament to how strategic industrial synergies can turn carbon liabilities into sustainable, cost-effective economic assets," Jeet Adani, Director, Adani Group, said.
Other than formic acid, both companies would explore opportunities to develop a broader portfolio of chemicals used across sectors, including energy, materials, packaging and manufacturing.
For the March quarter, the conglomerate had reported a consolidated net loss of INR 2.2 billion on revenues of INR 324.4 billion. At 1314 IST, shares of Adani Enterprises traded at INR 3,154.2 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, up over 2%. End
