NCDEX calls bids for liquidity enhancement scheme in pepper contracts

MUMBAI – The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange has announced the introduction of a liquidity enhancement scheme for its pepper futures contracts and has invited bids from interested applicants by 1700 IST, Thursday.
The pepper futures contracts are scheduled to start trading on the exchange's platform from Wednesday. The liquidity enhancement scheme is being introduced "to encourage active participation and market development," the exchange said in a notification.
Under the scheme, the exchange will appoint a designated market maker for pepper futures contracts based on a competitive bidding procedure. The successful bidders will be appointed as designated market makers till the scheme for the product remains in force.
The exchange will perform the evaluation of bids as per the grading scale given in the circular. End
