MCX adds three refiners for gold futures contracts settlement delivery

MUMBAI – The Multi Commodity Exchange of India has added three entities to its existing list of refiners whose products are eligible for delivery on the exchange for settlement of gold futures contracts, it said in a circular.
Under the new list, M.D. Overseas Pvt. Ltd. has been empanelled for delivery of 1 kg and 100 gm gold; Kundan Refinery Pvt. Ltd. for 1 kg, 100 gm, 10 gm, 8 gm and 1 gm contracts settlement; and Zaveri and Co. Pvt. Ltd. for 1 kg and 100 gm delivery.
"The Exchange has added three domestic refiners...who have qualified for empanelment as per the MCX Good Delivery Norms and whose products are eligible to be delivered on the Exchange to settle the Gold futures contracts," it said.
The existing list of refiners eligible for delivery under different gold futures contracts include Titan Co. Ltd, Augmont Enterprises Ltd, Parker Precious Metals LLP, and Sovereign Metals Ltd, the circular said.
The circular is effective from Jul. 13, the exchange said. End
