--Cabinet OKs INR 71.45 bln for 4-lane highway between Kanpur-Kabrai
NEW DELHI – The Union Cabinet Wednesday approved the construction of 117.7 kilometre, four-lane access-controlled Kanpur–Kabrai national highway in Uttar Pradesh. The estimated total cost of the project is INR 71.45 billion and will be implemented by the National Highways Authority of India in the build-operate-transfer toll mode, a government release said.
The project will provide seamless, high-speed connectivity between Kanpur and Kabrai, while strengthening connectivity to parts of Madhya Pradesh. It will also improve logistics competitiveness, industrial development and economic growth across Bundelkhand and adjoining regions of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, the release said. End
