Mustard mixed; soybean down in Kota as demand subdued

MUMBAI – Mustard seed prices rose at Jaipur and fell at Kota, both in Rajasthan, traders said. Soybean prices fell in Kota, while groundnut prices were steady in key markets, they said.
MUSTARD seed prices rose in Jaipur by INR 25 per 100 kilograms to INR 7,900-INR 7,925 per 100 kg, tracking higher prices in the international market, traders at Marudhar Trading Agency said. Arrivals across the country were 450,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg), same as the previous day.
In Kota, however, mustard seed prices fell by INR 480 per 100 kg to INR 7,400 as demand was subdued at high prices, Mahesh Sameriya, a local trader, said. Mustard seed arrivals in Kota were 10,000 bags, the same as the previous day.
SOYBEAN prices in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, were steady at INR 3,325-INR 7,550 per 100 kg as demand was limited, Narendra Porwal, a local trader, said. Arrivals were at 3,300 bags (1 bag = 40 kg), the same as the previous day, he said. In Kota, soybean prices fell by INR 30 per 100 kg to INR 6,850 as demand fell, Sameriya said. Arrivals totalled 12,000 bags, down 2,000 bags from the previous day.
GROUNDNUT prices in Ratlam were steady at INR 3,350-INR 8,150 per 100 kg, traders said. Arrivals were at 3,100 bags (1 bag = 30 kg), the same as the previous day, they said.
