Mustard seed up in Jaipur on firm demand, soybean up in Kota

MUMBAI – Mustard seed prices rose in Jaipur, Rajasthan, due to firm demand, but were steady in Kota, traders said. Soybean prices rose in Kota due to firm demand and groundnut prices were steady in key markets, they said.
MUSTARD seed prices in Jaipur rose by INR 50 per 100 kilograms to INR 8,100-INR 8,125 as demand was firm from domestic millers, traders at the Marudhar Trading Agency said. Prices also rose as arrivals have started to fall amid firm demand, they said. Arrivals across the country were at 550,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg), up from 500,000 bags the previous day.
In Kota, mustard seed prices were steady at INR 7,800 per 100 kg as demand was limited at higher prices, said Mahesh Sameriya, a local trader. Mustard seed arrivals in Kota were at 16,000 bags, down 2,000 bags from the previous day, he said.
SOYBEAN prices in Ratlam were steady at INR 3,325-INR 7,550 per 100 kg due to limited demand, said Narendra Porwal, a local trader. Arrivals were at 3,300 bags (1 bag = 40 kg), the same as the previous day, he said.
On the other hand, in Kota, soybean prices rose by INR 50 to INR 7,050 per 100 kg as demand improved at lower rates, Sameriya said. Arrivals totalled 14,000 bags, the same as the previous day.
GROUNDNUT prices in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, were steady at INR 3,350-INR 8,150 per 100 kg, traders said. Arrivals were at 3,100 bags (1 bag = 30 kg), the same as the previous day, they said.
