MUMBAI – The iCOMDEX Composite index of the Multi Commodity Exchange of India was trading lower Wednesday amid a volatile market. Bullion and base metal components were in the red, while energy constituent were volatile. The Composite index opened marginally lower at 24326.89 points against Tuesday's close of 24329.73 points. At 1113 IST, the index was down 1.3% at 24020.02 points.
Among the three components of the Composite index, the bullion index traded 2% lower as both gold and silver declined 2% each.
