CPI-AL inflation rises to 3.39% in April from 3.18% in March

NEW DELHI – India's CPI inflation for agricultural labourers rose to 3.39% in April from 3.18% in March, according to data released by the labour bureau Wednesday. Inflation based on CPI for rural labourers also picked up last month, rising to 3.11% from 2.92% in March.
The rise in inflation for agricultural and rural labourers is in line with the increase in headline CPI inflation, which rose to a 13-month high of 3.48% in April.
The overall index for agricultural labourers in April was 137.30, up from 136.99 in March. The index for rural labourers rose to 137.22 in April from 136.95 in March.
CPI for agricultural labourers and CPI for rural labourers are used to revise minimum wages for agricultural labour and rural labour in different states. End
