MUMBAI – Mustard seed prices rose in Rajasthan's Jaipur due to firm demand but were steady in Kota, traders said. Soybean and groundnut prices were steady in key markets as demand was need-based at higher prices, they said.
MUSTARD seed prices in Jaipur rose INR 150 per 100 kilograms to INR 7,800-INR 7,825, tracking higher prices globally, traders at Marudhar Trading Agency said. Arrivals across the country were at 900,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg), the same as the previous day, they said.
In Kota, mustard seed prices were steady at INR 7,350 per 100 kg, said Mahesh Sameriya, a local trader. Mustard seed arrivals were at 18,000 bags, same as the previous day, he said.
SOYBEAN prices at Ratlam were steady at INR 3,325-INR 7,650 per 100 kg, after rising by INR 1,000 the previous day due to good demand for domestic oilseed amid high imported edible oil prices, said Narendra Porwal, a local trader. Arrivals were at 3,500 bags (1 bag = 40 kg), same as the previous day.
In Kota too, soybean prices were steady at INR 7,350 per 100 kg, due to limited demand at higher prices and higher arrivals, Sameriya said. Arrivals were at 13,000 bags down 1,000 bags from the previous day.
