SEBI extends tenure of Arun Raste as NCDEX MD, CEO till Aug 30

MUMBAI – The Securities and Exchange Board of India has granted an extension to the tenure of Arun Raste as managing director and chief executive officer of the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange till Aug. 30, or till his successor joins the duty, whichever is earlier. The decision was noted at the NCDEX board meeting held on Thursday.
The extension will be effective from Jun. 7, the exchange said.
Raste was appointed as MD and CEO of NCDEX in 2021 for a five-year period. He took charge of the post on Jun. 7, 2021. Raste had succeeded Vijay Kumar at the post.
NCDEX will have to take the approval of its shareholders for the extension.
A Post Graduate in Economics, with Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing, Communications and
Journalism, Raste was earlier associated with the National Dairy Development Board as the executive director. End
