MUMBAI – Oilseed prices were steady in the key spot markets in the country Friday, traders said. Oilseed prices are likely to increase in the coming days as edible oil imports have become costlier, they said.
MUSTARD seed prices were steady in Jaipur at INR 7,150-INR 7,175 per 100 kilograms after rising by INR 50 in the previous day, traders at Marudhar Trading Agency said. Arrivals fell to 950,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg) from 1.0 million bags the previous day, they said. Prices could rise in the coming days on the back of improved demand for the domestic oilseed amid higher prices for imported edible oil, traders said.
