India imported 231,197 tn chana, 81,364 tn masur from Australia in February

MUMBAI – India imported 231,197 tonnes of chana and 81,364 tonnes of masur from Australia in February, according to data from India Pulses and Grains Association.
Australia exported 292,347 tonnes of chana in February, up from 89,420 tonnes in January. It also exported 179,335 tonnes of masur in February, down from 280,314 tonnes in January, according to the data sourced by the association from Statistics Canada.
In February, Pakistan imported 45,564 tonnes of chana from Australia, followed by 5,302 tonnes imported by the UAE. Also, Bangladesh imported 44,367 tonnes of masur from Australia and Sri Lanka imported 20,804 tonnes of the legume during the month, per the data. End
