Gujarat declares bonus above MSP for procurement of bajra, jawar

MUMBAI – The government of Gujarat has declared a bonus of INR 300 per 100 kg of bajra and jawar for procurement in the rabi marketing season 2026-27, it said in a release Friday. The bonus will be in addition to the minimum support prices declared by the central government.
The central government has declared the MSP of INR 2,775 per 100 kg of bajra, INR 3,749 per 100 kg of jawar, INR 3,699 per 100 kg of jawar-hybrid, and INR 2,400 per 100 kg of maize, it said.
The government will procure bajra, jawar and maize from May 1 to Jul. 15, and farmers willing to sell have been asked to register their details online from Apr. 1 to Apr. 30. The procurement will be handled by Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corp. End
