Trading starts in 10-gram gold futures contracts on NSE Monday

MUMBAI – A new gold futures contract made its debut on the National Stock Exchange Monday, with trading starting in the 10 gram contract. The April contract opened at INR 158,500 and soon rose to INR 160,900.
The contract has a trading and delivery unit of 10 grams of 999 purity gold. Prices are quoted on an ex-Ahmedabad basis, while the tick size has been set at INR 1 per 10 grams. The maximum permissible order size is 10 kilograms, and the contracts are listed in monthly series, expiring on the last calendar day of the contract month.
Trading will take place from 0900 IST to 2330 IST or 2355 IST, depending on US daylight saving adjustments, the NSE has said. It is a compulsory delivery contract. End
