MUMBAI –  Prices of most oilseeds were steady across key markets of the country, traders said. Mustard seed prices rose in Jaipur and Kota, tracking international prices, according to traders. Soybean and groundnut prices were steady.

MUSTARD seed prices in Jaipur, Rajasthan, rose INR 50 per 100 kilograms to INR 6,800-INR 6,825 per 100 kg and prices in Kota, Rajasthan, also rose INR 50 per 100 kg to INR 6,400 per 100 kg. Mustard prices in Kota rose tracking prices in international markets but the gains will not sustain as arrivals are high and there are expectations of good production, according to Marudhar trading agency. In Kota, also in Rajasthan, mustard seed prices were up INR 50 to INR 6,400 per 100 kg.

SOYBEAN prices in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, were steady at INR 2,750-INR 5,550 per 100 kg due to limited demand from millers, said Narendra Porwal, local trader. Soybean prices in Kota were steady at INR 5,351 per 100 kg. Arrivals were at 2,500 bags (1 bag = 40 kg).
