Maximum temperatures over northwest India are expected to gradually rise by 2–4 degrees Celsius in the next five days, the weather department said. As such, maximum temperatures over many parts of northwest India are likely to be "appreciably to markedly" above normal by 4–6 degrees Celsius in the next seven days, the department said.
In central India, maximum temperatures are likely to gradually rise by 2–4 degrees Celsius in the next five days, the weather bureau said. No significant change is likely in the region in the next two days, except in Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha, where it is likely to rise by 2–3 degrees Celsius in the next three days, the bureau said.
In Maharashtra, the maximum temperature is expected to gradually rise by 2–4 degrees Celsius in the next four days, the weather bureau said. In Gujarat, the maximum temperature is likely to gradually rise by 3–5 degrees Celsius in the next three days, the bureau said.

A fresh western disturbance is expected to affect the western Himalayan region from Wednesday, the weather bureau said. This weather system is likely to cause light rainfall or snowfall over parts of Jammu and Kashmir from Wednesday to Sunday, over Himachal Pradesh on Saturday and Sunday, and over Uttarakhand on Sunday, the bureau said.
