MUMBAI – The Mutli Commodity Exchange of India Friday said the expiry date of various futures contracts on its platform will be shifted from Mar. 31, as spot markets will be closed on that day. Mar. 31 is a holiday on account of Mahavir Jayanti.
Depending on the nature of the underlying commodity, the new expiry dates will be Mar. 23, Mar. 30, or Apr. 2, the exchange said in a circular, detailing the contracts and their new expiry dates.
"It may be noted that though the original Expiry date on the Market Watch Screen would continue to display the existing Expiry date, the above contracts will be available for trading only till the revised Expiry (End) date," it said. End
