Govt levies anti-dumping duty on Toluene Di-Isocyanate import from EU, Saudi

MUMBAI – The government has extended the anti-dumping duty on import of Toluene Di-Isocyanate, a chemical used to make foams for furniture and automotive parts, from the European Union and Saudi Arabia for five years, the finance ministry said in a notification late Tuesday.
The government will levy an anti-dumping duty of $102.05-$344.33 per tonne on the import of Toluene Di-Isocyanate from the EU and Saudi Arabia. Earlier, the government had levied the duty on Toluene Di-Isocyanate import from these two nations till Mar. 1. The levy will now stay till February 2031. End
