MCX notifies revised trading hours on change in US daylight saving timings

MUMBAI – The Multi Commodity Exchange of India has notified changes in trading hours on its platform from Mar. 9 due to "change in US daylight saving timings," it said in a notification Monday. The announcement reverses the changes announced on Sept. 29, when trading hours were last revised.
Effective Mar. 9, trading on MCX platform in non-agri commodities will start at 0900 IST and end at 2330 IST. Currenyly, trading in non-agri commodities ends at 2355 IST.
Timings for other categories will remain unchanged. Trading in cotton, cotton oil and kapas will take place between 0900 IST and 2100 IST. All other agri commodities will be traded between 0900 IST and 1700 IST, the notification said.
The client code modification time, too, will change. It will now be between 0900 IST and 2345 IST as against between 0900 IST and 2359 IST earlier for non-agri commodities. For other categories, the client code modification timings will remain unchanged, between 0900 IST and 2125 IST. End
