All-India cotton arrivals fall 6% from previous day to 110,900 bales

MUMBAI – The all-India cotton arrivals fell 6.4% to 110,900 bales (1 bale = 170 kg) from 118,500 bales a day earlier, according to market participants.
Maharashtra reported arrivals at 38,000 bales, followed by 23,000 bales reported by Telangana/Andhra Pradesh as well as Gujarat. Arrivals in the Karnataka market were reported at 10,000 bales. Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu reported smaller arrivals, according to trade sources.
In Gujarat, Sankar-6 stock quality 29 mm variety of cotton traded at INR 54,500-INR 55,000 per candy (1 candy = 355.62 kg), whereas in Maharashtra, new crop good grade 29 mm cotton traded at INR 54,500-INR 55,000 a candy, trade sources said. End
