Mustard steady on limited miller demand; soybean down in Kota

MUMBAI – Prices of mustard seed were steady in key spot markets owing to limited demand from millers, traders said. Prices of soybean fell in Kota but were steady in Ratlam, they said. Groundnut prices were steady across markets.
MUSTARD seed prices in Jaipur, Rajasthan, were steady at INR 7,400-INR 7,425 per 100 kilograms because demand from millers was tepid, according to Marudhar Trading Agency. Mustard seed arrivals across the country were estimated at 150,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg), same as on the previous day. They included 75,000 bags of the new crop, according to GGN Research.
In Kota, Rajasthan, mustard seed prices were steady at INR 6,800 per 100 kg. Arrivals were at 8,000 bags, up 3,000 bags from the previous day, local trader Mahesh Sameriya said.
SOYBEAN prices in Kota fell INR 30 to INR 5,651 per 100 kg, Sameriya said. In Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, soybean mandi prices were steady at INR 2,900-INR 5,850 per 100 kg, Narendra Porwal, a local trader, said. Arrivals were at 3,000 bags (1 bag = 40 kg), unchanged from the previous day.
GROUNDNUT prices in Bikaner, Rajasthan, were steady at INR 7,250-INR 7,360 per 100 kg, according to the average spot price on the National Commodity Derivatives Exchange.
