Gujarat govt to purchase wheat at MSP of INR 2,585 per 100 kg

MUMBAI – The Gujarat government is set to purchase wheat at the minimum support price of INR 2,585 per 100 kilograms, set by the central government for the rabi marketing season 2026–27. To ensure farmers receive fair prices for their produce, wheat will be procured at the MSP through the Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corp. Ltd., as done every year, a government press release said Tuesday.
Farmers who are willing to sell wheat at the MSP across the state will be required to register online at the village level Village Computer Entrepreneur from Feb. 1 to Mar. 1, it said in the release. The registration process will be completed through biometric authentication of farmer account holder. Wheat procurement at MSP will be carried out from Mar. 4 to May. 15, 2026. End
