Soybean prices mixed across key mkts; groundnut gains

NEW DELHI – Soybean prices fell in Madhya Pradesh's Indore, but rose in Rajasthan's Kota on Thursday. Major rabi oilseeds such as mustard and groundnut rose in key markets in Rajasthan, according to traders.
MUSTARD seed prices in Jaipur, Rajasthan, rose INR 25 to INR 7,275-INR 7,300 per 100 kilograms, supported by firm demand from oil millers, according to Marudhar Trading Agency. Mustard seed arrivals across the country were at 185,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg), unchanged from the previous day, according to GGN Research. Rajasthan accounted for 80,000 bags, followed by Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh at 20,000 bags each.
SOYBEAN prices in Kota rose INR 200 to INR 5,350-INR 5,555 per 100 kg, according to spot prices on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange. In contrast, the benchmark price of soybeans in Indore fell INR 50 to INR 5,350 per 100 kg, the Solvent Extractors' Association of India said in a note.
Soybean arrivals across the country were 235,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg), unchanged from the previous day, according to GGN Research. Madhya Pradesh saw arrivals of 110,000 bags, followed by Maharashtra at 100,000 bags, and Rajasthan at 12,000 bags, it added.
GROUNDNUT prices in Bikaner, Rajasthan, rose INR 450 to INR 6,750 per 100 kg, according to NCDEX spot prices.
