MUMBAI – Prices of mustard rose in key markets of Jaipur, Rajasthan, on good demand from millers and concerns about crop damage, traders said. Prices were steady in Kota, they added. Soybean and groundnut prices were steady across markets, they said.

MUSTARD seed prices in Jaipur, Rajasthan, rose by INR 75 to INR 7,275-7,300 per 100 kilograms on strong demand from millers, according to Marudhar Trading Agency. Mustard seed arrivals in the country were at 100,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg), down from 200,000 bags the previous day. In Kota, mustard seed prices were steady at INR 6,650 per 100 kg on Friday.

SOYBEAN prices at Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh were steady at INR 2,850-INR 5,050 per 100 kg, said Narendra Porwal, a local trader. Soybean prices in Kota were also steady at INR 4,950 per 100 kg. Arrivals in the market were 14,000 bags, same as Thursday.

GROUNDNUT prices at Ratlam were steady at INR 2,800-INR 5,900 per 100 kg.
