MCX says trading shut Thursday morning session for Maharashtra civic polls

MUMBAI – The Multi Commodity Exchange of India notified that trading shall be closed in the morning session from 0900 IST to 1700 IST on Thursday in view of the Municipal corporation elections in Maharashtra. The evening trading session will be open on Thursday for trading from 1700 IST to 2355 IST, and till 2100 IST for selected agri commodities, the exchange said in a circular.
It had earlier declared a settlement holiday on Thursday in view of the municipal corporations elections in Maharashtra. Since banks will not be providing clearing services on the election day, there will not be any settlement-related activities on that day for the exchange, the MCX Clearing Corp. Ltd. had said in a notification. End
