MUMBAI – Mustard seed and soybean prices fell in Rajasthan's Kota but were steady in other key spot markets in the country, traders said. Groundnut prices were steady across markets, they said.
MUSTARD seed prices in Jaipur, Rajasthan, were steady at INR 7,150-7,175 per 100 kilograms after rising by INR 50 the previous week on strong demand from millers, according to Marudhar Trading Agency. Mustard seed arrivals in the country were at 200,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg), the same as the previous day.
In Kota, mustard seed prices fell INR 100 to INR 6,700 per 100 kg due to higher arrivals, said Mahesh Sameriya, a local trader. Arrivals totalled 5,000 bags, up 1,000 from the previous day, Sameriya said.
