NAFED invites quotes for boiled rice export to cyclone-hit Sri Lanka by Wed

MUMBAI – The Chennai unit of National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. has invited quotations from interested parties for the supply of 10,000 tonnes of boiled rice for export to Sri Lanka to support cyclone relief measures, it said in a notification. The interested parties must submit their quotation rates by 1500 IST, Wednesday.
Interested bidders may contact the Chennai unit of NAFED for quality specifications and supply terms and conditions, it said, addind that bids must be submitted along with an earnest money deposit of INR 100,000 by the deadline, it said.
Millers, traders, societies, and farmer producers organisations are eligible to bid for the same.
Boiled rice must be supplied in new or once-used gunny bags of 50 kilogram net ex-Chennai or ex-Tuticorin delivery to the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corp., the notification said. End
