Prices unchanged in Maharashtra mkts on low trading activity

MUMBAI – Prices of pulses in the Akola and Solapur markets in Maharashtra were steady with trading activity being low, traders said. Prices of pulses were unavailable in other key spot markets across the country as they were shut for Bhai Dooj, they said. All markets will reopen Friday, they said.
In Akola, prices of CHANA were steady at INR 5,925-INR 5,950 per 100 kg, said Ankit Kedia, a local trader. TUR prices were also steady at INR 7,400-INR 7,425 per 100 kg, he said. Though the market is open, trading activity is very low as most traders have chosen to stay away for festivities, he said. Prices of chana and tur in Solapur were also steady at INR 5,600-INR 5,750 per 100 kg and INR 6,200-INR 7,350 per 100 kg, respectively, Kedia said. End
