Monsoon Alert: IMD sees heavy rains in some parts of south India till Wed
MUMBAI – The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall over parts of Tamil Nadu till Saturday and again from Monday till Wednesday. The weather bureau also expects heavy spells of rainfall over Kerala on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Strong surface winds with speed reaching 30-40 kilometres per hour are very likely over parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days, IMD said. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning is likely over few parts of the mentioned regions during the next five days, it said. (Devanshi Verma) End
