MUMBAI – The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India has invited bids for export of 5,000 tonnes of non-basmati 5% broken parboiled rice to Cotonou, Benin, in West Africa by Friday. Financial bids on delivery-at-place basis will be accepted till 1500 IST on Friday, NAFED said in the notification. Bids will remain valid up to Jul. 30, it said.

In a notification dated Jul. 18, NAFED had fixed the last date for accepting the tenders as Wednesday and said it would accept tenders till 1200 IST.   

"NAFED shall reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids without assigning any reason. NAFED also reserves the right to delete/modify/add any clause to this tender document without assigning any reason," it said. "Delivery/availability of the entire consignment at Cotonou, Benin is to be done at earliest possible as per the time period mentioned in purchase order issued to successful bidder(s). Time is essence of this contract for entire quantity." 

In the notification, NAFED also specified the terms of the tender such as eligibility criteria, quality parameters, packaging and terms of payment.  End
