FCI procures over 2 million tonnes of wheat in Rajasthan

MUMBAI – The Food Corp. of India has procured more than 2.0 million tonnes of wheat in Rajasthan as of Tuesday in the rabi marketing season 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), the agency said on the social media platform X. With this, Rajasthan has set a new benchmark, it said. The state's procurement target was 2.0 million tonnes.
The wheat was procured from over 160,000 farmers, who were paid more than INR 50.00 billion. The procurement was carried out at the minimum support price, the agency added.
Rajasthan had announced a bonus of INR 150.00 over the central government's minimum support price of INR 2,425.00 per 100 kg for the current rabi marketing season. Neighbouring Madhya Pradesh had announced a bonus of INR 175.00 per 100 kg of wheat for procurement. End
