MUMBAI – The Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd. has invited bids for the sale of 64,423.62 tonnes of mustard seeds lying at various godowns of Bhiwani, Hisar, Rohtak, Jhajjar, and Fatehabad districts in Haryana. The electronic auction will be held on Friday between 1200 IST and 1245 IST, with an extension time of 15 minutes at intervals of five minutes. The matching round will be conducted for 60 minutes from 1600 IST to 1700 IST, it said in a notification.

The seeds put for auction were procured at the minimum support price in the rabi marketing season of 2023 and 2024, the federation said. The auction will be held on the platforms of NeML, Star Agribazaar Technology Ltd., E-Tech, mjunction, and Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation portal, it said.

The amount deposited by the buyer would determine the quantity which can be lifted by the buyer. However, the minimum lot size will be 2,500 tonnes or the available stock whichever is less, according to the federation. The successful bidder would be bound to lift the additional quantity up to 25 tonnes after depositing the requisite amount as per the bid, over and above the offered quantity by the bidder in the e-auction, in case there is no balance stock of the same crop year in that godown, it said.

Bidders will have to deposit INR 300 per 100 kilogram as earnest money deposit in the bank account provided by the federation. The federation reserves the right to reduce the auction quantity or allocate the sale quantity among different successful buyers, it said.  End
