Andhra Pradesh invites bids for supply of 47,037 tonnes of red gram dal

MUMBAI – The Andhra Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corp. Ltd has invited bids for the supply of 47,037 tonnes of red gram dal, or tur, for distribution under the public distribution system and various other schemes in the state, it said in a notification Thursday. All 26 districts of the state are covered under the tender. The actual quantity may vary by 25% on either side, it said.
The auction on NCDEX e-Markets Ltd. will take place on Thursday and Friday, with bids being valid for 30 days from the auction.
The auction is for the supply of red gram dal over a period of three months from June to August. The e-auction will be conducted zone-wise, it said. Bidders will have to deposit a registration free of INR 5,900, which includes 18% Goods and Services Tax. If a bidder is already registered with NeML and has renewed its membership for 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), it is exempt from paying the deposit.
Specifying the quality of red gram dal, the notification said, "The red gram dal variety of Indian origin should be in sound merchantable condition, sweet, dry, clean, uniform, wholesome, and free from moulds, living insects, obnoxious smell, discoloration and admixture of deleterious substances and all other impurities and they shall be free from Argemone, Mexicana and Kesari in any form. They shall be free from added colouring matter." End
