NAFED invites bids for sale of 235,991 tonnes of moong in Madhya Pradesh Wed

MUMBAI – The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. has invited bids for the sale of 235,991 tonnes of moong from Madhya Pradesh, as per a notification. The legume was procured during the summer crop seasons of 2022, 2023, and 2024 under the price support scheme. The electronic auction will take place through the NAFED-empanelled service providers portal, between 1100 IST and 1130 IST on Wednesday.
The unprocessed, whole, raw moong, which is not fit for direct human consumption, will be sold on an "as is where is basis", the notification said. Bidders will have to deposit an amount equal to 5.22% of trade value as earnest margin deposit and transaction charges, along with the applicable goods and services tax. End
