MUMBAI – The Haryana State Cooperative Supply & Marketing Federation Ltd. has invited bids for the sale of several varieties of rice through electronic auction platforms on Thursday, the federation said in a notice. At the auction, the federation will sell 924 tonnes of 1121+1718 basmati blended steam rice (wand), 513 tonnes of 1121 golden sella rice, 4,500 tonnes of 1718 white sella rice, 123 tonnes of sugandha basmati sella rice, and 3,148 tonnes of 1401 basmati steam rice.

The auction will start at 1200 IST and end at 1245 IST. It may be extended by 15 minutes. The auction will be conducted through the federation's e-auction platform HafedAgriXchange.Org. It will also be held on the portals of Star Agribazaar Technology Pvt. Ltd., National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange e-Markets Ltd., E-Tech Innovative Services Pvt. Ltd., and mjunction Services Ltd.

The different varieties of rice are stored at warehouses in Hisar, Karnal, and Fatehabad districts of Haryana, according to the notice. Bidders will have to deposit INR 200 per 100 kg as earnest margin. HAFED reserves the right to reduce the auction quantity or allocate the sale quantity among different successful buyers, it said.  End
