Malaysia Mar CPO output up 17% on mo at 1.39 mln tn, exports up 1%

MUMBAI – Production of crude palm oil in Malaysia rose 17% on month to 1.39 million tonnes in March, according to preliminary data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board released Thursday. The month-end palm oil stocks and exports also rose in March, the data showed.
In March, Malaysia's palm oil exports rose nearly 1% on month to 1.0 million tonnes and stocks were up 3.5% on month at 1.56 million tonnes, the data showed. Malaysia is the world's second-largest producer of crude palm oil and India is the largest consumer of edible oils.
