NCDEX revises market maker scheme in options on guar seeds futures

MUMBAI – The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange on Friday revised the Liquidity Enhancement Scheme in guarseed options on futures contracts, the exchange said in a circular. In another circular issued on Friday, the exchange said the existing liquidity enchancement scheme in guar seed options on futures contracts will be discontinued with effect from Apr. 7.
The exchange has revised the market depth to quotes required at top five level in the order book from top three earlier.
Under the scheme, NCDEX will appoint a designated market maker for the guarseed options on futures contracts based on a competitive bidding procedure. The successful bidder will be appointed as designated market maker.
The appointment would be based on a competitive bidding procedure for which interested participants are required to submit bids in prescribed format from Saturday to Tuesday. The appointment of market makers is in terms of guidelines issued by the market regulator SEBI on Aug. 4, 2023, NCDEX said. End
