National co-op body invites bids for sale of masur, moong, imported tur

MUMBAI – The National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India Ltd. has invited bids for the sale of imported and domestic masur, imported tur, and domestic moong through e-auctions, according to multiple notices posted by the federation. All auctions will take place through the Star Agribazaar Technology Pvt. Ltd.'s portal.
The Federation has invited bids for the sale of 121,405.22 tonnes of masur from the 2023 crop year, imported from Australia and Canada. The electronic auction will be held on Thursday at 1200-1230 IST with three extensions of five minutes each, the notice said. The imported masur is stored across various port cities, with 56,573.8 tonnes in Chennai, 90,320.9 tonnes in Ahmedabad, and 4,510.84 tonnes in Mumbai, the notice said.
Bids for the sale of 36,191.81 tonnes of domestic masur procured during the 2023-24 rabi season have also been invited on Thursday, another notice by the federation said. The electronic auction took place from 1100-1130 IST with three extensions of five minutes each. The domestic masur is stored in various warehouses with 19,483.2 tonnes stored in multiple districts across Madhya Pradesh, and 16,708.61 tonnes stored in the Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh.
The federation has also invited bids for the sale of 699.59 tonnes of imported tur on Thursday, a notice said. The electronic auction took place at 1100-1130 IST, with three extensions of five minutes each. The imported tur is stored in two states, with 688.99 tonnes in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, and 10.60 tonnes in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the notice said.
Additionally, the federation has invited bids for the sale of 44,610.48 tonnes of domestic moong procured in 2024-25, it said in another notice. The auction will take place from 1100-1130 IST with three extensions of five minutes each on Wednesday, the notice said. The moong is stored in multiple warehouses, with 40,218.46 tonnes stored in various districts of Madhya Pradesh, and 4,392.02 tonnes stored in the Jhansi and Banda districts of Uttar Pradesh, the notice said.
