MCX Clearing Corp accredits vault in Ahmedabad for gold, silver delivery

MUMBAI – The Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corp. Ltd. has accredited a vault in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, for storage and delivery of gold, gold guinea, gold petal, gold mini, silver mini, and silver, with effect from Friday, the exchange said in a notice.

 

The name of the vault operator is Brinks India Pvt. Ltd. The vaulting charges for gold will be INR 35 per day per bar of 1 kg, for gold mini it will be INR 3.50 per day per bar of 100 grams, the notice said. The vaulting charge for gold guinea will be INR 0.12 per day per coin of 8 grams and for gold petal, it will be INR 0.12 per day per coin of 1 gram.

 

The vaulting charge for silver mini will be INR 1.25 per day per bar, for storing up to 90 days and INR 1.50 per day per bar for storage of 91 days or more, it said. For silver, the vaulting charge will be INR 40 per bay per bar for storage up to 90 days and INR 45 per day per bar for storage of 91 days or more. The loading and unloading charges will be INR 15 per bar in both cases.

 

Additionally, a transaction charge of INR 300 per deposit receipt, withdrawal or delivery order for each commodity type will be payable directly to the vault service provider at the time of each deposit or withdrawal, the notice said.

 

Members and their constituents have been advised that vault charges shall be levied for the actual number of days for which the goods are stored. However, buyers will be exempted from paying vault charges subject to collecting the goods on the payout day, it said.  End
