HAFED invites bids for sale of 8,000 tn Sugandha basmati paddy Friday

MUMBAI – Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd. has invited bids for the sale of 8,000 tonnes of Sugandha basmati paddy procured during the kharif marketing season 2022-23 (Oct-Sept), the federation said in a notice. The electronic auction will be held on Friday, it said.
Separately, the federation has called bids for sale of a total of 7,534 tonnes of rice – 924 tonnes of 1121+1718 basmati blended steam rice (Wand), 513 tonnes of 1121 golden sella rice, 25 tonnes of parmal rice (2021-22), 6 tonnes of 1121 sella rice, 2,900 tonnes of 1718 white sella rice, and 3,166 tonnes 1401 basmati steam rice (Wand), the federation said.
The auction will be conducted through the federation's e-auction platform HafedAgriXchange.Org. It will be held on the portals of Star Agribazaar Technology Pvt. Ltd., National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange e-Markets Ltd., E-Tech Innovative Services Pvt. Ltd., and mjunction Services Ltd., at 1200-1245 IST with an extension of 15 minutes.
The Sugandha basmati paddy is stored in warehouses in Kota and Baran in Rajasthan, and the other varieties of rice are stored in warehouses in Hisar, Fatehabad, and Karnal districts of Haryana, according to the notice.
According to the notice by the federation, bidders will have to deposit an amount of INR 200 per 100 kg as earnest margin deposit. HAFED reserves the right to reduce the auction quantity or allocate the sale quantity among different successful buyers, it said. End
