MCX accredits warehouses for cotton bale, base metals, steel rebar contracts

MUMBAI – The Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corp. Ltd. has accredited five warehouses for storing and effecting the delivery of cotton bales contracts and one warehouse for base metals and steel rebar contracts, with effect from Tuesday, MCX said Monday.
Of the five warehouses, the Shantilal Jain warehouse and Preet warehouse have delivery centres in Jalgaon and Jalna districts of Maharashtra. Two of the Buldana Urban Co-op credit society warehouses and Usha Industries warehouse have delivery centres in Yavatmal district. For delivery of base metals and steel rebar contracts, the Tirupati Balaji Earth Works Pvt. Ltd. warehouse is located in Kolkata, it said.
The clearing corporation has de-accredited the Sri Sai Baba Cotton Industries warehouse in Adilabad and the Anil Patidar warehouse in Indore with immediate effect. "...no fresh deposit of cotton bales shall be accepted at these warehouses for the exchange delivery," the exchange said. End
