World Spice Organisation's 3rd national conference in Ahmedabad on Nov 15-16

MUMBAI – World Spice Organisation, the technical partner of All India Spices Exporters Forum, is set to host the third edition of the National Spice Conference 2024 on Nov. 15-16 in Ahmedabad. The theme of the conference, "Sustainable Spices Supply Chain – Way Forward", will focus on organisation of spice supply chains to avoid resource wastage and sustainability issues.
The conference will also address strategies for biodiverse friendly farming, quality and regulatory challenges faced by the spice sector, viable funding models and private sector engagement to sustainability. The conference is being organised on a larger scale than the past editions, and is likely to bring over 200 farmer producer organisations, farmer representatives, and 400 plus delegates to the conference. The event will also feature an expo and a farmer-buyer interface.
Senior government officials, industry leaders, leaders of international non-governmental organisations working on sustainable agriculture are also expected to attend the conference. Some of the key speakers are Paresh Shah, chairman of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Alka Rao, advisor - science and standards regulations, FSSAI, and Deepak Pareek, founder of HnyB Agrichain.
