NEW DELHI – Prices of mustard and soybean rose in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and Indore, Madhya Pradesh, traders said. However, increased moisture-laden stocks are likely to cap soybean price gains, they added. Groundnut prices were unavailable as the market remained shut on Monday, it added.
MUSTARD prices in Jaipur, Rajasthan, were up by INR 200 at INR 6,800-6,825 per 100 kg from Oct. 30. Arrivals in the state were 115,000 bags (1 bag = 50 kg), according to Marudhar Trading Agency. With no major festival lined up in the coming weeks to support prices, mustard prices are likely to be largely steady with a downside bias, Mahesh Sameriya, a local trader, said.
SOYBEAN prices in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, were up by INR 50 at INR 4,600-4,700 per kg, Mukesh Mangal, a local trader said. Government procurement of soybean in Madhya Pradesh is supporting prices. However, prices may be weighed by moisture-laden arrivals, Mangal said. In Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, soybean prices were up INR 75 at INR 4,675 per 100 kg, Narendra Porwal, a local trader said.
GROUNDNUT prices in Gondal, Gujarat, were unavailable today as the market remains shut after it closed for Diwali on Oct. 28, traders said.
