The government has re-appointed M. Rajeshwar Rao as a deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India for one year with effect from Wednesday, the central bank said in a release. Rao was appointed deputy governor in October 2020 for a period of three years and was given a one-year extension last year. His term was scheduled to end on Oct. 8.
