HAFED to engage millers to make sunflower oil against supply of seeds

MUMBAI – The Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd has invited bids from interested parties to engage them in production of sunflower oil, along with packaging and all other operations, from seeds supplied by the federation over a year. The oil so procured by the federation will be supplied to different states, it said in a notification.
The bidders have to submit their tender documents through e-Tender portal as per dates given, according to the notification. Bidders will have to pay a mandatory fee of 1,000 rupees and a document fee of 1,000 rupees. The eligible bidders can deposit the earnest money directly online, the federation said.
The bidders shall be responsible for transportation of the sunflower seeds from various godowns of HAFED across Haryana, crushing of the seeds, packing the sunflower oil in 1, 2, and 5 ltr bottles. They will also have to take care of all other operations for delivery of the oil at the designated locations as decided by the federation. The bidders will have to supply fortified refined sunflower edible oil if so required, according to the notification.
The technical bids will take place on Aug 29 at 1130 IST. The federation reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders, it said.
A bidder must have a minimum storage tank capacity of 1,250 tn to store loose sunflower oil on the mill premises and a storage capacity of 2,500 tn to store sunflower seeds on the mill premises, according to the notification. End
