CESC Ltd. Wednesday reported a near double-digit on-year growth in its bottom line for the June quarter despite flat revenues. The net profit rose due to a sharp fall in total expenditure, led by a fall in the cost of energy purchased and the cost of fuel. Despite lower expenses, the company missed analysts' estimate of net profit for the June quarter by a wide margin.
