India's food grain output for 2024-25 (Jul-Jun) is estimated at a record 353.9 million tonnes due to record production of rice, maize, groundnut and soybean, according to the third advance estimates released by the government on Wednesday. There was a significant increase in the sowing area in the kharif season, along with an increase in the yield of major kharif crops like paddy, maize, millet, moong, soybean, sugarcane, an official release said.
